Customer interviews for agencies
An experienced interviewer you can bring into the project when you need one.
You have a client who needs to understand their customers. Your team can manage the project, but you need someone to conduct the conversations.
I work as an extension of your agency. You keep the client relationship and connect me with the participants. I draft the interview guide, coordinate the interviews, and follow up when there’s more to understand.
Tell me about the project01 / Someone you can trust with the conversation
People can give you an answer that sounds perfectly reasonable. Then they tell you what actually happened, and it doesn’t quite fit.
I’m comfortable staying with that. Asking for a specific example. Going back to something they said earlier. Making room for an answer that wasn’t in the brief.
I bring 15 years of research experience and an MBA to the work. I care about representing your team well and telling you what I heard, even when it complicates the story you were hoping to tell. If something is uncertain, I’ll say so.
More about my background02 / A clear division of the work
We agree on how I’ll be introduced, who will observe, and recording permissions before the first conversation. Client communication stays with your agency.
03 / Choose how much support you need
I draft the guide, coordinate and conduct the interviews, and deliver transcripts or recordings, as agreed. Your team takes the research forward and develops the recommendations.
I also work through the findings, identify patterns and contradictions, and explain the implications for the client’s question. You receive the evidence behind the conclusions and the questions still open.
Send the number and length of interviews, your timing, and the deliverables you need. I’ll confirm availability, scope, and a project fee before anything is booked. Briefings, debriefs, and revisions are agreed upfront.
04 / Let’s talk
Tell me what the client needs to learn, who you plan to interview, and when. Let me know whether you need interviews only or synthesis too.
A short outline is enough to start. If you already have a brief or guide, include a link. I’ll follow up with you to discuss the fit and scope.
